Director Jevan Chowdhury’s “Moving Cities: Athens” is just one of many installments where dancing in public spaces gives a view of the city. Chowdhury first launched the Moving Cities project in 2014 to show a collection of cities that are interesting or significant today.

Some 60 dancers were filmed improvising in the city’s streets, squares, back yards and rooftops. In Greece last summer, he visited several locations across the city from the busy port of Piraeus to touristy Acropolis. Music score by Danny Odom.
