Handelsblatt newspaper published an article claiming that the economic situation in Greece will get worse in 2016, while it describes Greeks as a frustrated nation.

Since the beginning of the economic crisis in Greece in 2009 the real income of the Greeks fell by 25%, while one in four citizens is unemployed.

The consequence of this is that citizens owe to the Greek State 83.6 billion euros.

This amount includes the recorded debts of citizens and businesses towards the state and funds, the article mentions adding that the fact that many Greeks have money just to buy the necessary items has an impact in retail trade during the Christmas period.
As Handelsblatt claims, the government foresees a restriction in private consumption by 1%, an investment shrinking by 3.7% and a GDP decline by 0.7%.
