Interior Ministry announced that the government plans to hire a great number of employees in 2016 and the most hirings will be in the sectors of education, health and local administration.
However, the exact number of the employees to be hired is still unknown since the government has not reached yet an agreement with the institutions.
According to the interior ministry, the extension of a 1:5 hiring to departures quota in the public sector until December 31, 2016 will not affect government’s plans for hiring more employees to cover urgent needs in the public sector in 2016.
“This extension is not linked, in any way, with the standing intention, planning and negotiating position of the government for the hiring of a significant number of employees, within 2016, to cover urgent needs of the public sector. Hirings that will be front-loaded since as of January 1, 2017 the new rule of 1:1 for departures/hirings will be in effect,” the announcement said.
