Police still search for the two young men from Messolonghi, Etoloakarnania. who have been missing since New Year.

Giannis and Vasilis spent New Year’s Eve with their families and then they went out to entertain themselves and they have been missing since then.

As the mother of Vassilis, Mrs Alexandra, told protothema.gr the two friends left Pentalofos village at 4:30 am, while the last time they were seen and recorded by a camera was half an hour later, at 5:00 am at Lesini village.

“It was morning and my child hadn’t return, I went nuts. I started calling his friends and his cousins, but no one knew anything. I do not know what happened, they are both amazing guys, they had never caused any problem. I hope we’ll find them. I am going to lose my mind” says Mrs Alexandra.

Authorities from Messolonghi have already searched Acheloos river and the surrounding area, but they have not found any trace of the two men.
