A 51-year-old man’s strange obsession with his sixth grade teacher had him stalking her decades after she taught him. The now 81-year-old teacher was allegedly victimized by Steven Kremski who now faces charges of stalking and malicious use of a telecommunications device to scare the retired teacher.

The calls began in 2011 but steadily increased and become more frightening. They ranged from heavy breathing to confessions of love or holiday greetings. In one of the phone calls, the stalker said he had located the graves of her relatives.

Unadilla Township Police were surprised to trace the calls to Kremski, who was found after a surveillance video was installed in a pay phone at Bishop international Airport, Flint.

Two calls were placed while police were on route to arrest him.

He is sheduled to appear for a pre-trial hearing on February 29.
