Spain is the most popular destination for British tourists this summer according to a new report released by TripAdvisor.

Coming top of the list was the Spanish island of Majorca, followed by Tenerife and Ibiza.

Greece and Portugal were also featured, while New York was the only destination outside of Europe to make it to the top 10, as Daily Mail reports.

TripAdvisor ranked the most popular destinations according to booking interest on the site and looked at the cost of holidaying there from June 1 to August 31.

The average cost of the meals were fairly similar but the prices for hotels were very different.
