Two masked men started shooting shortly after 11:30 am at Themistokleous street, just a few meters away the square of Exarchia in the center of Athens.
According to information, one person was seriously injured and transferred to the hospital, where he died.
Eyewitnesses said the men had covered their faces with helmets or hoods and shot the man three times at the neck and head.
Police sources said that this might be a drug trafficking case, as the man shot is known to the police for drug cases. Police are investigating the case.
