An improvised explosive device (IED) went off outside the offices of an insurance company in Cyprus, owned by Kostakis Koutsokoumnis, a FIFA official appointed by the world football governing body in Greece to head an interim team replacing the previous Greek Football Federation board, which was mired in scandals and accused of misdoings. The device exploded at 2.30 in the morning in Lemesos, in the main entrance of the offices causing wide damage. No injuries were reported. Koutsokoumis responded on his Facebook page saying that when you are making incisive interventions you occasionally have to pay the price.
