The bust of former US Secretary of State and 2017 Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, which was erected a year ago in the southern Albanian town of Agia Saranda, was torn down. The town’s council had decided to honour Mrs. Clinton for her support to Albania and erected a bust in 2016, but after her loss in the recent US Presidential elections the bust was reportedly taken down just under a year of its erection, according to site Himara.gr. Local residents in the town say the decision to remove it is related to Donald Trump’s victory. The council of the town has not released any statement on the matter.
