A 19-year-old man is facing rape charges in a village of the Archanes–Asterousia in the municipality in Heraklion regional unit, Crete after a complaint was made by a minor.
According to the complaint, the 19-year-old from Albania and the minor Greek girl met at a school in their area where, according to the minor, the 19-year-old raped her.
The incident was reported, according to the website ekriti.gr, on Thursday, to the Police and the young man was immediately arrested.
The young man said everything was done with mutual consent, as they were in a relationship.
The 19-year-old is scheduled to appear before the prosecutor and present his case next Monday.
