Incredible NASA illustration shows Venus volcano eruption (video)

Venus is the second planet closest to the Sun in our Solar System

Newsroom November 2 05:00

NASA has released an incredible photo illustration of the eruption of a volcano on Venus!

Venus is the second planet closest to the Sun in our Solar System, and its surface is literally burning since the temperature exceeds 460 degrees Celsius. The planet has over 1,600 volcanoes, volcanic craters, mountains, and lava plains, while it is covered by dense clouds of carbon dioxide and sulfur dioxide.

However, although there have been no active volcanoes on Venus for 500 million years as there is no proof of tectonic activity, the US Space Agency (NASA) released new data on active volcanoes earlier this year, explaining the hitherto unexplained heat in areas of the celestial body.

“They could push chemicals into the colder upper atmosphere, where hungry germs could hover,” said NASA, which, to spark our imagination, released a terrific artistic depiction of the eruption of a volcano on Venus!
