The US military has killed the leader of the Islamic State (ISIS) during an operation in northwestern Syria, the White House said.
In a statement, US President Joe Biden said that ISIS leader Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurashi had been killed yesterday in a counter-terrorism operation involving US special forces in northwestern Syria.
