A meeting under the Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis was held today at the Maximos Palace with the participation of the Minister of National Defense Nikos Panagiotopoulos and the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Konstantinos Floros.
The Prime Minister was briefed on the military situation in Ukraine. With this decision, Greece responds to the request of Ukraine, in consultation with its allies in NATO, its partners in the EU and showing its solidarity to the tested Ukrainian people practically, by sending two C-130s of military equipment to Poland at noon on Sunday, which will depart for Poland, at the borders with Ukraine.
Greece is reportedly sending ammunition, Kalashnikov rifles and anti-tank weapons. Also during the day humanitarian aid will also be sent which will be accompanied by the Deputy Minister of National Defense Nikos Hardalias.

The order for the preparation of defense and humanitarian aid was given by Maximou two days ago.
As far as humanitarian aid is concerned, this is the medical equipment announced yesterday by the Minister of Health Thanos Plevris and additional medicines, blankets, food and basic necessities.
