Coronavirus: 2,400 new cases, 130 intubated, 21 deaths

More fully vaccinated patients are intubated than unvaccinated

The new laboratory-confirmed cases of the coronavirus recorded in Greece in the last 24 hours stand at 2,400.

The total number of people who became ill amounts to 3,447,938 (daily change + 0.1%), of which 48.8% are men. The number of possible re-infections recorded in the last 24 hours was 296 while since the beginning of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic the total number is estimated at 135,114 (3.8% of the total number of positive results).
The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 21, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 29,828 deaths have been recorded. 95.6% had an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older.

The number of patients treated by intubation is 130 (61.5% men). Their median age is 72 years. 93.1% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older. Among intubated patients, 62 (47.69%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 68 (52.31%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,683 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
