Coronavirus Greece: 11,629 new cases – 26 deaths and 98 intubated

Among intubated patients, 39 (39.8%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 59 (60.2%) are fully vaccinated

Greek authorities announced on Sunday that the new laboratory-confirmed cases of Covid recorded in the last 24 hours were 11,629. The total number of people who got sick is 3,719,839 (daily change +0.3%), of which 48.6% are men.

The number of possible new reinfections recorded in the last 24 hours was 2,197 while since the beginning of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic the total number is estimated at 179,876 (4.6% of the total number of positive results).

The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 26, while a total of 30,302 deaths have been recorded since the beginning of the epidemic. 95.7% had underlying diseases and/or were aged 70 years or older.

The number of intubated patients is 98 (63.3% men). Their median age is 70 years. 90.8% have underlying diseases and/or age 70 years or older. Among intubated patients, 39 (39.8%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 59 (60.2%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,735 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
