What is and is not “hate speech” is an entirely subjective judgment. “Hate speech” laws are a tool of the powerful to silence the powerless, and this case shows that vividly. Stürzenberger spoke the truth about Islam, but those truths are as unwelcome in Germany as they are elsewhere, and so he is going to be made to pay, as an example to others to keep silent and go along.

PI-NEWS author Michael Stürzenberger was sentenced today by a young Hamburg judge to six months in prison without parole on the grounds of hate speech. This judgment was preceded by a rally of the Pax Europa citizens’ movement on October 8, 2020 in Hamburg. Stürzenberger there criticized “political Islam” and its atrocities. He clearly differentiated between brutal Islamic perpetrators and peaceful Muslims. His criticism was also directed at so-called refugees from Islamic countries who committed crimes here, and he backed this up with facts from the Federal Criminal Police Office.
