The plane carrying the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Athens for the Supreme Cooperation Council and the contacts he will have with the President of the Republic and the Greek Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, landed at the “Eleftherios Venizelos” airport earlier than originally scheduled.
When the door of the Turkish presidential plane opened, the ministers of the Erdogan government who will participate in the bilateral contacts and the Supreme Cooperation Council came out, while at 10:29 the Turkish president disembarked.
Mr. Erdogan was welcomed in Greece, as announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Giorgos Gerapetritis, who had a short dialogue with the Turkish President.
Immediately after his arrival in Greece, Mr. Erdogan will head to the Presidential Palace, where he will meet the Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou, while the ministers who accompany him will have meetings with their Greek counterparts.
