Britain: A third face at Kate’s wedding to William? New conspiracy theories cause a headache at the Palace

American comedian, broadcaster and political commentator Stephen Colbert has commented that the disappearance of the Princess of Wales from the public eye is due to the third person in her marriage

Newsroom March 14 08:03

Just as the Palace is trying to forget the scandal of Kate Middleton’s photoshopped photo of her three children on International Mother’s Day, the British press is revisiting the issue of Prince William’s alleged mistress, Rose Hanbury.

Rose was a longtime friend of the royal family and when she learned of Kate’s abdominal surgery, she and her husband sent her their love for a speedy recovery.

However, British citizens have expressed keen interest to know what exactly is going on with Prince William’s alleged mistress while his wife remains out of the limelight recovering at Kensington Palace.

On Tuesday night, American comedian, broadcaster and political commentator Stephen Colbert poked fun at Britain’s royal family on his show, commenting that Kate’s disappearance from the public eye is due to the third person in her marriage, as some internet followers also claim.

In their comments, they write that Kate’s absence may be related to the illicit affair of her husband and heir to the throne in Britain, host Stephen Colbert said on “The Late Show,” which aired Tuesday.

“Kate’s absence may be related to her husband’s illicit affair and … I think we all know that the alleged other woman is the Marquess Rose Hanbury,” he said.

Buckingham is keen to regain its composure after the furore that erupted when the wife of the heir to the British throne, Kate Middleton, confessed to making minor alterations to the photo in question because she likes to experiment, although many British publications are keen to know anything to do with the former model who William allegedly had an inappropriate affair with in 2019, during the time they were both married.

In June 2009, Rose Hanbury, a former model and partner of Conservative politician Michael Gove, married Lord Holmedelley with whom she had three children.

She is the daughter of web designer Timothy Hanbury and fashion designer Emma Hanbury Longman and they live in Houghton Hall, Norfolk.

The thing is, after the scandal of Kate Middleton’s photograph, the conspiracy theory about the heir to the throne’s relationship with the charming aristocrat was thrust into the spotlight.

For its part, the British newspaper ‘The Telegraph’ writes that although Colbert’s show is not broadcast in Britain, in the United States it is watched by more than 2 million viewers.

However, in the UK too, extracts have been shown on the Internet, with the result that Buckingham is unhappy with what the American presenter said about the most senior members of the royal family.
