Details about the cancer have not been released, but Kensington Palace says it is confident the princess will make a full recovery.
The princess’ statement explains that when she underwent abdominal surgery in January, cancer was not known to be present.

He said he was thinking of all those who have been affected by cancer. Kate Middleton has said that her recovery from surgery took time and that her priority is now her family.
Princess Kate and Prince William are now not expected to appear with the Royal Family on Easter Sunday and there will be no early return to official duties for the Princess for the time being.
The couple have faced a series of health speculations and scenarios on social media and in the press in recent weeks, following her surgery in January but especially after a photo of her with her children turned out to be tempered with.
