The president of SYRIZA, Stefanos Kasselakis launched an attack on Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, stating in a post that he does not have the moral backbone to expel a homophobic MP from his parliamentary party.

The leader of the opposition attached to his post an excerpt from an interview by New Democracy’s MP for Drama, Dimitris Kyriazidis who refereed to Kasselakis.

“Do you know this gentleman? Kyriakos Mitsotakis knows him very well. He is a member of parliament. However, he doesn’t know how to address him grammatically, that is, if he should use the masculine or feminine form.”

The president of SYRIZA went on to express that he waited for a week before deciding to express the MP’s removal. Kasselakis stated he wanted to wait  and see if the supposedly liberal Mr. Mitsotakis had the moral backbone to expel Kyriazidis for his homophobic comments.
