He was convicted in 2007 for the kidnapping and rape of a young woman in Massachusetts. He managed to escape and managed to walk free all these years. And now, 16 years later, the US police have managed to track him down through social media.
When he was arrested, his identification was made from his DNA and his awful breath, which was the reason he was dubbed “the rapist with bad breath”.

The reason is Tuen Kit Lee, who was arrested in the San Francisco Bay area, as announced by the US authorities.
The wanted man was found guilty in 2007 of kidnapping and raping a young woman at knifepoint in her home in Quincy, south of Boston. According to the indictment, Lee broke into her home on February 2, 2005, and raped her.
Although he managed to escape before serving his sentence, the US authorities kept the case alive as his picture appeared several times on the TV show “America’s Most Wanted”.
He was tracked down after some photos appeared on social media. Following the trail, investigators found him in Contra Costa County, California.
“Identified by his awful breath”
Police officers arrested Lee on Tuesday when they saw him and a woman leaving a multi-million dollar home near Danville, east of Oakland. After they stopped the car, the wanted man initially gave a fake name. But when pressed, he confessed his real identity. He was later identified by fingerprints.

“He was finally identified by his DNA and his awful breath, which created the nickname ‘The Rape with Bad Breath’,” the state police statement said.
Lee was being held by police in California pending his expected transfer to Massachusetts while he faces a life sentence.
