The Empepe era is officially underway at Real Madrid.
The 25-year-old French footballer was announced by the European champions and will wear their shirt for the next five years. The team that three days ago won the 15th Champions League in their history is incredibly strengthened with what many consider to be the best player to play football in Europe in recent years.

Real announced the transfer in just a few words on their social media: “Real Madrid and Kylian Empape have reached an agreement whereby he will be a Real Madrid player for the next five seasons.” She immediately dropped her site and X!
Immediate reaction from Empape who wrote on social media, “A dream come true. So happy and proud to join my dream club. No one can understand how excited I am right now. I can’t wait to see you, Madridistas, and thank you for your incredible support.”

He also accompanied his post with photos of him wearing a Real Madrid shirt as a youngster. In fact, one of the photos he posted is with Cristiano Ronaldo.
On its website, Real Madrid says: “Empape, Real Madrid’s new footballer. The European champions are reinforced with a world star who scored 44 goals for Paris in the season just ended.”
The Spaniard reveals that he will wear the number 9 shirt on the back that has previously been worn by Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema, Ronaldo Nazario and Di Stefano among others!
The statement reads, among other things, “Our team is strengthened by an excellent striker, captain of the French national team, with whom he became world champion in 2018 and the Nations League in 2021, in which he scored the winning goal. At the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Empape won the Golden Boot with eight goals and, after his hat-trick in the final, became the top scorer in history in World Cup finals (4).”
At Real Madrid he will join the likes of Vincicus, Rodrigo, Edrick, Belingham and the Madrid attack will be flying… more fire in the coming years.
Killian Empape, who started at Monaco and played 8 years at Paris Saint-Germain winning 7 championships and 4 French Cups. But he never rose to the top of Europe although he did play in the 2020 Champions League final with Paris losing the title to Bayern Munich.
The France captain had agreed a deal with Real Madrid in the winter and will receive €100 million as a signing bonus. He signed a 5-year contract that will pay him €15 million a year.

Real Madrid and Kylian Empape had also come very close in 2022 but at that time the Frenchman, despite pressure from Florentino Peretz, had preferred to move on for more money to Paris Saint-Germain.
Kylian Empape will play as a Real Madrid player with the French national team at the Euros starting on June 14 at the stadiums in Germany but will not be at the Olympics as his new club will not allow him to play.
The 25-year-old won the 2018 World Cup with the French national team and was a finalist in 2022. With the Tricolor, Empape has been at the top level for years and with his transfer to Real Madrid, he aspires to do the same at club level, as for a player of his class, winning the championship in France is not enough.
