A total of 43 agroforestry fires occurred in the last 24 hours across the country, according to the Fire Brigade.

Of these, 40 were dealt with immediately and while they were at an initial stage, while firefighters are still dealing with three more.

The local investigating agencies as well as teams of the Arson Investigation Department (IAD) are investigating the causes of the fires.

Finally, the Fire Brigade calls on all citizens to be particularly careful and in the event of a fire, for their own safety, to follow the instructions of the competent authorities.
