Shortly after ten in the morning, SYRIZA president Stefanos Kasselakis arrived at the Ekali polling station to cast his vote for the European elections. A considerable number of people were waiting to greet him and take pictures. Kasselakis spent about two minutes inside the voting booth. After speaking with the crowd, he voted using his passport.

“Today is a celebration of the Republic. We are choosing what kind of Europe we want. Europe significantly influences our lives, and I urge all our fellow citizens to come and take their future into their own hands. I am touched and grateful for the trust and love shown to me. I pledge that I will never betray the people’s trust,” said Stefanos Kasselakis after voting.
