Panathinaikos player ruled out of the SEF tournament

Contrary to initial assessments, Panathinaikos captain Kostas Sloukas will not be able to join Vassilis Spanoulis’s national team for the Pre-Olympic tournament to be held in Faliro from July 2-7.

According to recent reports, the atmosphere between him and some teammates had improved after the tensions during the finals of the Stoiximan Basket League between PAO and OSFP. However, his injury could not be overcome.

“Kostas Sloukas will not be able to support this year’s efforts of the National team. The results of the tests he underwent on his injured leg showed that the required time for full recovery is not sufficient for him to participate in the official duties of our representative team,” the official statement reads.
