Taylor Swift, currently on her Eras tour in the UK, which will continue until the end of August, has expanded her charity efforts in the UK during her stay
The CEO of a Cardiff food bank revealed to The Guardian that Swift has made the largest donation ever by a private individual to the organization. Cardiff was the only UK city where Swift performed a single concert. While the exact amount wasn’t disclosed, the CEO emphasized the substantial nature of her contribution.
“The relief provided by Taylor’s donation allows us to focus on creating a sustainable support system for those in need and addressing the root causes of poverty. This will help people move towards a future where they no longer require our assistance,” the CEO said, noting that the donation secured more than 10,000 meals.
Swift also contributed to a Liverpool charity overseeing 11 food banks. The CEO described her donation as “the most incredible gift,” highlighting that Swift “essentially covered our food expenses for an entire year.”
According to the Daily Mail, Swift has also donated to food banks in Edinburgh and possibly other UK cities, though she prefers to keep her charitable activities private.
Swift’s tour continues to be a massive success, attracting numerous celebrities to her sold-out shows, including Prince William and his children, George and Charlotte.
