A 13-year-old girl experienced horror inside her own home in Kasso last Friday (28/6) when a 28-year-old Ethiopian broke into the home to steal and attempted to rape her while she was sleeping.
According to dimokratiki.gr, the perpetrator, who was arrested and confessed to the crime, entered through the main door of the house with the intention of removing items. However, when he saw the 13-year-old girl lying asleep, he approached the little girl, shut her mouth and tried to rape her.
“Don’t talk, calm down, be quiet, be quiet, don’t let anyone hear us,” he allegedly told her, according to the local media, when the girl woke up, became terrified and started crying and screaming, causing the perpetrator to flee. Immediately afterwards, her grandfather came down from upstairs and informed him of what happened.
A few hours later, the 28-year-old was arrested by officers from the Kasos Police Department on charges of attempted rape with the use of physical force, attempted sexual intercourse with a minor who has reached the age of 12 without having reached the age of 15, aggravated theft and damage to property belonging to another.
He pleaded guilty to the charges, saying that a few days ago he was doing some work outside the minor’s house, saw her and liked her and decided to enter her home to steal with his shirt covering his face. According to him, when he saw the girl, he decided to attack her and tried to rape her. In fact, he said, he knew that she was a minor and noted that he has previously engaged the police in a theft case.
