The Croatian basketball federation has issued a statement on the incident in a club on the beach on Monday night involving Dario Saric and Ivica Zubacz.

According to the statement, “our players were first verbally attacked and then physically attacked which forced them to defend themselves.”

The same statement said that “it was a short incident that was interrupted thanks to the intervention of club employees.”

The video shows Saric trying to defend Zubac, who appears to have been hit by another man. And at one point, someone headlocked Saric and knocked him to the ground, with the Croatian forward taking blows to the face and body.
