The cause of death of the 64-year-old who died in Agios Petros of Kynourias after being beaten at a christening party remains undetermined, while the couple accused of his death are expected to plea to the relevant prosecution authorities today.
The forensic report came to no clear conclusion. Answers are now expected to emerge from the combination of the forensic findings and toxicological tests, which have yet to be completed.
The coroner reportedly identified strokes and wounds on the body of the 64-year-old without being able to say they were fatal. The 64-year-old sustained blows to the right side of his body, specifically to his neck, head, above the eye, and shoulder.
In the interrogator the couple
At the same time, the couple is expected to be taken to the relevant authorities to plea.
Against the 41-year-old man, the prosecutor’s office filed a criminal charge for a homicide with possible malice in a calm, mental state, while against the 34-year-old woman for complicity in the same act.
For its part, the victim’s family is asking that other people who witnessed the stabbing be brought under investigation. Eyewitnesses say the pair kicked the 64-year-old at least three times after the 34-year-old was verbally harassed by the victim, who tried to grab her around the waist and asked for her phone number.
However, the family’s lawyer Dmitris Georgakopoulos said in a statement that the 64-year-old was a loved one and denounced attempted character assassination. At the same time, he argued that many people were complicit in the murder, including those who were indifferent while their co-defendant was being beaten.
