In a phone call with Kamala Harris, Barack Obama and his wife Michelle made their support for the U.S. Vice President known as she seeks the Democratic nomination for the November elections.
In the video, Kamala Harris is seen answering a call and putting it on speakerphone.
“Oh, you’re both here. It’s a pleasure to hear both of you,” says the U.S. Vice President to the Obamas.
“This call wouldn’t be complete without me telling my girl, Kamala, how proud I am of you. This is going to be a historic moment,” Michelle Obama is heard saying.
Taking over, Barack Obama said, “Michelle and I called you to say that we couldn’t be prouder to support you and that we will do everything we can during the campaign to help you reach the White House.”
“Michelle, Barack, this call means a lot to me. I look forward to working together, Doug and I, to be on the road with you. But above all, I want to say that your words and the friendship you’ve honored me with mean far more than I can express,” Kamala Harris initially responded.
“Thank you both so much, it means a lot to me. And we’ll have a great time too, won’t we?” Harris concluded the call with a smile.
As revealed in a post on X by the former U.S. President, the call took place earlier in the week.
“We told her that we believe she will be a fantastic President of the United States and that she has our full support. In these critical times for our country, we will do everything we can to ensure she wins in November. We hope you will stand by us,” Barack Obama mentioned in his post.
Earlier this week, Michelle and I called our friend @KamalaHarris. We told her we think she’ll make a fantastic President of the United States, and that she has our full support.
