“The Court’s decision today puts a definitive end to any speculation and other imaginative fabrications regarding the wiretapping case,” emphasized in a statement Mr. Grigoris Dimitriadis, former Secretary General of the Prime Minister.
Mr. Dimitriadis released his statement via X, where he highlighted that from the very beginning, he had taken political responsibility, choosing at the same time “the difficult path and remaining silent, despite never being involved.”
Below is Mr. Dimitriadis’ full statement:
“I have always respected and continue to respect the work of the Judiciary. After all, this is what I swore to serve in my professional career.
For the three years and one month that I held the position of Secretary General of the Prime Minister, I served with all my strength the interests of the Nation and its citizens.
From the very first moment, I assumed political responsibility directly and sincerely, respecting the democratic sensitivities of the Greek people. But also, to protect the nation, the government, and the party. In an atmosphere of toxicity, I chose the difficult path and remained silent, despite never being involved.
Today’s decision by the Judiciary puts a definitive end to any speculation and other imaginative fabrications.”
