The opening of Greece’s judo campaign confirmed the high expectations for a strong performance.
Theodoros Tselidis celebrated his advancement to the round of 16 at the Olympic Games by defeating Dominican Robert Florentino. Initially, the Greek champion faced some challenges, but he managed to overcome his opponent’s attacks and, at 3:04, secured the victory with an ippon, moving on to the next round.
In the next round, the difficulty level is significantly higher as he will face Nemanja Maidov. The Serbian is the tournament’s heavy favorite with an impressive career, but Tselidis has his own chances to make a surprise.
