Mondo Duplantis wrote another golden page in pole vault history on Monday night as he broke the world record for the 9th time with his jump of 6.25m, which earned him the gold medal in this year’s Olympic Games final.
The Swedish vaulter also stood out in his celebrations, as he celebrated his great jump by mimicking Yusuf Dikec, the Turkish shooter who went viral for his style that earned him the silver medal at the Paris Games.

The Turkish shooter reciprocated the honor Duplantis paid him by writing “congratulations” on his X account and posting a photo of the Swedish athlete’s celebrations.
Duplantis broke his world record with his third attempt at 6.25m.
Mondo Duplantis, who at 24 years old already has 2 Olympic gold medals, had also set an Olympic record (6.10m) before his world record.
It is worth noting that Sergey Bubka broke the world record 17 times from 1984 to 1994.
