Lekkas reassuring about the earthquake in Evia

"The earthquake was also felt in Attica and therefore worried more than it should have been for its size," he said

Newsroom August 27 10:32

The professor of Natural Disaster Management at the University of Athens (EKPA) Efthimios Lekkas appeared reassuring about the 4.5 magnitude earthquake on Monday night in Evia.

“The earthquake was also felt in Attica and that’s why he was more worried than he should have been about its magnitude,” he told ERT.

He said it is a common phenomenon for the area and added that the epicenter of the earthquake was located in the area of Psaropoly and that “we are monitoring the evolution of the phenomenon”.
