A 44-year-old woman who was arrested yesterday in Tripoli for intentionally causing two consecutive fires in a rural area has been sentenced to three years in prison, with the sentence suspended.
Additionally, she will serve two months in jail and was fined 1,000 euros. According to reports, she started the fires “because she enjoyed seeing firefighters and trying to flirt with them.”
Moreover, a 51-year-old man who was arrested for intentionally causing three consecutive fires in a rural area in the municipality of Doxato, Drama, was sentenced to 15 months in prison, of which he will serve three months. He was also fined 1,400 euros.
It is noted that the above-mentioned fires burned small areas, as the fire department managed to contain them before they could become dangerous.
