Giannis Antetokounmpo and Mariah Riddlesprigger’s wedding guests had the opportunity to be the first to taste the wine that the “Greek Freak” launched, as part of the Boutari Selections, a series of selected labels from the Boutari winery’s oenologists. Even the name he gave it, “Sincerely Mariah,” is a declaration of love for his wife.
The first bottles of the much-discussed rosé wine were opened during the couple’s grand three-day wedding celebration at the end of August, spreading aromas of freshness and a refined, soft taste. It is worth noting that it will initially be released in a limited number of bottles.
Made from Grenache Rouge and Syrah, vintage 2023, it is described by the company as: “an ode to the richness and aromas of nature. Its soft salmon color and expressive aromas of red fruits like strawberry, combined with floral notes, give a sense of elegance and vibrancy. The fruity taste and refreshing acidity are perfectly balanced with its velvety texture and slightly spicy aftertaste, creating a multi-dimensional and enjoyable experience.”
It is best enjoyed at 10-12°C, either on its own as an aperitif or paired with meals, or shared with loved ones.
