Personal Life

In 1971, he married actress (and classmate at George Theodosiadis’s School) Mirka Papakonstantinou. They divorced in 1977. Dani Katranidis was married three times but did not have children, which he had mentioned in an interview. “I had three marriages because I wanted to start a family. The marriages were spaced out over many years, not happening every month. The first was 17 years apart from the second, and the second from the third was 10. It’s a reasonable period for someone to say they can build their life, start a family, and have children. I do not regret having done it. The reason I didn’t have children was not due to medical issues. There was another reason, and it seems it was for the best. I have no complaints. I’ve been given things generously in work and life, more than I expected. I’ve made many mistakes; I thank the people who treated me with leniency.”
