The Russian president Vladimir Putin announced a bilateral meeting with his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on October 23 in Kazan at the BRICS summit.
Vladimir Putin received at the Kremlin the Speaker of the Turkish National Assembly, Numan Kurtulmus, who is in Russia on an official visit.
“We are very happy that our relations with Turkey are developing in all areas. Just recently, we met with President Erdogan of Turkey in Astana. In October we will meet again in Kazan, at the BRICS Summit, we have a special meeting with him planned,” Vladimir Putin told his Turkish counterpart.
He stressed that relations between Turkey and Russia are developing very successfully in almost all areas, commenting: “In general, we are good neighbors and we work for the benefit of our people, our countries, and we manage everything, in general. There are issues that require our special attention. Now, we will exchange views on all these areas very soon.”
In conclusion, the Russian president extended his “warmest wishes” to President Erdogan and said he was waiting for him in Russia, in Kazan, where he will have a one-on-one with him on October 23.
