Hellenic National Defense General Staff: New photos from the C-130 operation to evacuate Greeks from Lebanon

New photos from the operation that rescued 22 Greeks and 38 Cypriots from Lebanon, conducted by the Hellenic Armed Forces, have been released by the Hellenic National Defense General Staff (GEETHA).

Some of the photos were taken inside the C-130 aircraft that safely transported a total of 60 individuals away from Lebanon.

“The Hellenic Armed Forces, in collaboration and coordination with the relevant state authorities, contributed to the effort for the safe return of 38 citizens of the Republic of Cyprus to Cyprus and 22 citizens of the Hellenic Republic to Greece,” states GEETHA in a press release regarding the operation, which involved Greek commandos from the Special Operations Command.
