The existence of African dust in the atmosphere today is mentioned in a new post by the director of EMY, Thodoris Kolydas.
The well-known meteorologist in a new post on Friday morning, said that the suspended African dust in the atmosphere today is in low concentrations. From tomorrow, however, he noted that it will gradually start to move away.
He goes on to say that the dust is gradually clearing due to the conditions that will prevail tomorrow. Specifically, as he points out, strong north winds will prevail, reaching up to 6 Beaufort locally.
By the weekend the temperature, according to the latest forecast models, will subside and return to normal for the season next week.
“In terms of precipitation, there is no optimistic news, as in our region the anticyclonic circulation prevails (with a field of high pressure) and this results in the inability of the Central Mediterranean lows to approach us to cause phenomena for the time being,” underlines Thodoris Kolydas.
