After more than four hours, officers finally managed, shortly after 3 p.m. Friday, to get the man who had been locked in a psychiatrist’s house at 39 Kaleidonos Street, in Peristeri and was threatening to commit suicide.
The initial alarm was raised with police at around 10:45 am.
According to reports, the psychiatrist had given the keys to the man, who is a painter, to paint the area, then the two argued and then the man locked himself inside the house. He has since threatened to kill himself.
