Counting down the time for time change. Sunday 27 October is the end of the daylight saving time measure, in accordance with a directive of the European Parliament and the Council of the EU.
Clocks will go back one hour, from 04:00am to 03:00am
Why do we adjust the clocks?
The main purpose is to make the most of available daylight.
The German government first implemented clock changes in 1916, during World War I, as a way to conserve energy—extended daylight hours meant less reliance on electricity.
