41st Authentic Athens Marathon: All traffic regulations, how the metro will move on Sunday

See which roads will be closed and all the traffic regulations will be in place gradually from today until Sunday

Traffic regulations in Athens due to the 41st Athens Authentic Marathon, as well as the 5, 10, and 1.2 km road races on the weekend of November 9 and 10, will affect traffic from today until Sunday,

November 10, 2024.

To better and safely serve the traveling public and to facilitate the Games schedule, there will be changes to the OASA and STASY schedules on Sunday morning (10/11). In fact, the first run of the Metro, was set for 05.00 in the morning, instead of 05.30 which is the normal time.

Special traffic regulations

Friday, November 8

Vas. Konstantinou and Ardittou Ave. : Closed from 19:00 on Friday to 22:00 on Sunday in sections.

From Friday to Friday: from Friday to Friday and from Friday to Friday in the afternoons and in the afternoons only.

Saturday 9 November

No Parking and Stopping in specific areas, including Messogeion L., Vas. Sofias L., Vas. Konstantinou L., Ardittou ave., and other central arteries.

Closed Roads from 14:00 to 21:00:

-Vas. Konstantinou ave., along its entire length in both directions, as well as on the perpendiculars to the first parallel street.
-Ardittou, along its entire length in both directions, as well as on its perpendiculars up to the first parallel street.
-Vass. Olga Ave., along its entire length on both sides of the road.
-Vass. Olga Ave., along its entire length on both sides of the road.
-Vas. Sofias Ave., on the section between Vas. Amalias and Vas. Konstantinou avenues, in both directions and on its perpendiculars up to the first parallel road.
-Rizari, in the section between Vass. Sophia and Vass. Konstantinou avenues, in both directions.
-Bas. Georgiou B΄, in the section between Vas. Konstantinou Avenue and Rigillis Street and on the perpendiculars of this street up to the first parallel street.
-Meleagrou, in the section between Vas. Konstantinou Avenue and Isiodos Street.
-Kleanthous, in the section between Vas. Konstantinou Avenue and Vas.
-Akademias, along its entire length and on its perpendiculars up to the first parallel street.
-Vas. Amalias Ave., along its entire length in both directions and on the perpendiculars to the first parallel street.
-Syngrou Ave., on the section between Frantzi Street and L. Vas. Amalias, in both directions, as well as on its perpendiculars up to the first parallel street.
-Ath. Diakou, along its entire length in both traffic streams, as well as on the perpendiculars up to the first parallel street.
-Hlioupoleos, on the section between Ymittos and Karea streets, and the perpendiculars up to the first parallel street.
-Karea, along its entire length in both directions, as well as on its perpendiculars up to the first parallel street.
-Filellinon, along its entire length and on its perpendiculars as far as the first parallel street.

-Stadiou, along its entire length and its perpendiculars as far as the first parallel street.
