Immigration adviser Steven Miller appears to have been tapped by Donald Trump for the position of deputy chief of staff for policy at the White House, according to a CNN reporter citing two sources with knowledge of the new U.S. president’s intentions.
Miller was a senior policy adviser during Trump’s first administration and a central figure in many of the Republican’s policy decisions.
Notably, 67-year-old Suzie Wiles, Trump’s campaign manager, is the one who will fill the role of White House chief of staff when the Republican officially takes office.
“President-elect Trump will soon begin making decisions about who will serve in his second administration. Those decisions will be announced when they are made,”Trump spokeswoman Caroline Levitt told CNN.
