The onset of “Alexandros” began yesterday, Friday (November 15, 2024), bringing thunderstorms and intense weather phenomena. Meteorologists have expressed concern and are urging everyone to remain cautious, especially today, Saturday, which is expected to be particularly challenging. Problems have already surfaced in several areas, with instances of flooding reported.

In Attica, the weather appears to have calmed, with forecasts now focusing primarily on northern Greece and Evia for the rest of the day.

Significant disruptions were caused across the country yesterday. Heavy rain hit areas such as Syros and Attica, leading to flooded streets and traffic chaos. In Piraeus, the Mikrolimano area turned into a lake within just 15 minutes due to intense rainfall.
