It is an event held every two years to raise money for the museum’s causes. This year there was an extra reason as businessman and art lover Leonard Stern donated 162 Cycladic pieces from his personal collection to the Museum of Cycladic Art and the Greek state. The attendees had the opportunity to see them for the first time in person as they are currently on display advertising Greece and its history at MET.
A distinguished Greek woman from abroad, Stella Volandes, editor of “Town & Country”, was Master of Ceremony at an event that one thing is for sure: it will be unforgettable for the guests.
The approximately 25 rotundas (2500 euros for each invitation) were sold easily since the Museum of Cycladic Art as a museum that promotes Greek Culture has a dynamic President (Sandra Marinopoulou) and an active board of directors and loyal friends and followers.
