The ongoing European league phases have seen record-breaking attendances, with the Europa League recently completing its 5th matchday and the Conference League finishing its 4th.
Football Meets Data has gathered and compared the attendance figures for each match in both tournaments, with Greek team encounters at the top of the charts.
So far, the most attended match in the group stage of the Europa League was the November 7th clash between Manchester United and PAOK (2-0), which recorded the highest attendance. Meanwhile, PAOK’s match in Istanbul against Galatasaray ranked 14th, with 73,174 and 50,700 spectators, respectively.
In the Conference League, Panathinaikos fans created a fantastic atmosphere against Chelsea despite their team’s 4-1 loss. The 59,742 tickets sold for this match are currently a record in the competition.
