Mobile phone exploded while charging – The mattress caught fire, owner suffered burns

A young man in Greece had quite an ordeal when his mobile phone “exploded” during charging.

According to the mother of Haris, who spoke to OPEN, the incident occurred early this morning.

“The child was sleeping, and around 5-6 in the morning, he woke up and told me that it caught fire. He threw the blankets on the fire to put it out. If the fire hadn’t been stopped, everything would have burned,” the woman said.

The photos that were shared show the burned mattress and the burn injury the young man suffered. He went to the hospital to have his wounds treated by doctors.

The woman clarified that “the charger was the one provided by the company, as it came with the phone.”
