Prince William will visit Paris on Saturday to attend the reopening of the Cathedral of Notre Dame, which was destroyed by fire five years ago, Kensington Palace announced Friday.

William will attend the ceremony on behalf of the United Kingdom at the request of the British government, the palace said.

US President-elect Donald Trump will also be present as well as some 40 heads of state and government, according to a list released by the French presidency. Among the crowned guests expected to attend are the Belgian royal couple Philip and Mathilde, as well as Prince Albert of Monaco.
