All three dinosaurs, displayed at Christie’s exhibition space in London ahead of the auction titled “Jurassic Icons: Allosaurus & Stegosaurus”, were discovered during an excavation in the U.S. state of Wyoming.

“It’s a rare event to see a dinosaur skeleton go up for auction,” James Hyslop, Head of Science and Natural History at Christie’s London, told Reuters.
“The logistics behind setting up something like this—and in this case, three dinosaurs—are incredibly complex,” he added.
In July, a Stegosaurus fossil discovered in Colorado sold for a record-breaking $44.6 million during an auction at Sotheby’s.
